The assignment on video compression was challenging on first try. It took a couple of days and some trial and error for me to successfully upload a compressed video to Vimeo. Like image compression, this process involved several steps, and they all were essential to be able to upload a video that was small enough to fit on a website. The program we used to complete video compression was Handbrake, which may seem intimidating at first glance. The YouTube video on the guy explaining how to use Handbrake was extremely helpful with this. After downloading the video that had to be compressed, uploading it to Handbrake, and following the steps to compress it, I saved it and proceeded to upload it to Vimeo. I thought I had successfully completed the assignment until i noticed the video was still processing/downloading to Vimeo over two hours later. When it still had not been uploaded to the site the next day, I figured I had missed something and went back to redo the whole process. I had, in fact, skipped one small step, which I completed. My video was successfully uploaded in around 20 minutes, and here it is:
Space Nuts from Ebony Hughes on Vimeo.

It took forever for my video to upload to Vimeo too! I even took a nap waiting on it. That was honestly the most frustrating part of the whole assignment. The video made using Handbrake very easy, and I was thankful for that. But uploading it took forever. I was worried it wouldn’t be done before class! Thank goodness it was.
Uploading took me awhile too, I actually uploaded the video during one of my classes and sat there the entire time wondering if my laptop froze or something. Your video looks like it came out pretty good so looks like it was worth the wait
